Por ejemplo, es lo que ocurre con las <strong>placas de energ\u00eda solar<\/strong>. Si bien el sol es una fuente de energ\u00eda maravillosa para sustituir los combustibles f\u00f3siles, las placas <a href=\"https:\/\/hipertextual.com\/tecnologia\/placas-solares-flexibles-semitransparentes-impresas-3d\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">que se emplean<\/a> para captar dicha energ\u00eda pueden convertirse en <strong>residuos muy dif\u00edciles de reciclar o descomponer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En un principio esto no parec\u00eda un problema. Las placas solares hoy en d\u00eda tienen una durabilidad de<strong> entre 25 y 30 a\u00f1os<\/strong>, por lo que las que se instalaron con el primer auge de esta fuente de energ\u00eda <strong>est\u00e1n empezando a convertirse en residuos ahora<\/strong>. Seg\u00fan <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/the-solar-boom-has-a-dirty-secret-heres-how-to-avoid-another-mountain-of-waste-that-cant-be-recycled-272134\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ha explicado en un art\u00edculo para <em>The Conversation<\/em><\/a> la investigadora de la Universidad de Lancaster <strong>Rabia Charef<\/strong>, los pa\u00edses pioneros en energ\u00eda sostenible, como<strong> Jap\u00f3n, Alemania y Australia, <\/strong>est\u00e1n empezando a ver el problema, pero para 2050 estar\u00eda mucho m\u00e1s extendido, con <strong>250 millones de toneladas de residuos en todo el mundo.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Se pueden intentar reciclar, pero el proceso es complicado y, adem\u00e1s, <strong>se pierden muchos materiales valiosos<\/strong>. Por eso, <strong>la \u00fanica soluci\u00f3n aparente es empezar a cambiar la conformaci\u00f3n de las placas de energ\u00eda solar <\/strong>de modo que, cuando llegue el fin de su vida \u00fatil, se puedan <strong>reparar o reutilizar.<\/strong> En realidad, ocurre como con otros tantos residuos. En primer lugar, para que puedan resistir a las inclemencias meteorol\u00f3gicas y al hecho necesario de estar expuestas directamente al sol, <strong>se construyen como estructuras muy resistentes. <\/strong>Tradicionalmente se basan en<strong> capas de vidrio, celdas solares y pl\u00e1stico <\/strong>que se apilan y se unen con<strong> adhesivos muy fuertes.<\/strong> Al final, no tenemos segundo problema. Se pueden intentar reciclar, desde luego, pero para eso es necesario <strong>triturar toda la estructura e intentar separar los materiales<\/strong>. As\u00ed se a\u00edslan muy eficientemente<strong> el vidrio y el aluminio<\/strong>. Sin embargo, los materiales m\u00e1s caros, como<strong> la plata o el silicio<\/strong>, se pierden en el proceso. Generalmente, al triturar se convierten en un polvo muy fino que se mezcla con otros materiales y no se puede separar.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-como-deberian-ser-las-placas-solares-del-futuro\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%C2%BFComo_deberian_ser_las_placas_solares_del_futuro\"><\/span>\u00bfC\u00f3mo deber\u00edan ser las placas solares del futuro?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>La soluci\u00f3n a este problema <strong>no es abandonar la energ\u00eda solar. <\/strong>No podemos seguir intercambiando un problema medioambiental por otro. La clave est\u00e1 en <strong>construir las placas solares pensando en el futuro. <\/strong>Puesto que ya se ha visto que no son reciclables o, al menos, no de una forma eficiente, se debe abogar por<strong> la reparaci\u00f3n y reutilizaci\u00f3n. <\/strong>Para ello, la mejor opci\u00f3n es <strong>fabricar estas estructuras con piezas modulares<\/strong>, en vez de adhesivos, de manera que las capas se puedan separar e intercambiar en caso de que sea necesario. En algunos casos no quedar\u00eda m\u00e1s remedio que usar adhesivos, pero se podr\u00edan usar algunos que<strong> se descompongan solo a temperaturas muy altas,<\/strong> de tal manera que se Cr\u00e9dito: Freepik<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n se recomienda el uso de <strong>pasaportes digitales. <\/strong>A partir de 2027, estos se ir\u00e1n implantando poco a poco en productos como estos en los que sea necesario un seguimiento exhaustivo. Estos pasaportes incluir\u00edan informaci\u00f3n esencial sobre los materiales, la cantidad de reparaciones, la fecha de fabricaci\u00f3n o la presencia de sustancias peligrosas. As\u00ed, en caso de que sea necesario reparar, se puede disponer de toda esa informaci\u00f3n r\u00e1pidamente, sin tener que estudiar placa por placa.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, estos pasaportes podr\u00edan usarse como una especie de<strong> gemelo digital <\/strong>en el que se podr\u00edan probar virtualmente distintas estrategias de reparaci\u00f3n o reutilizaci\u00f3n antes de hacerlo directamente<em> in situ.<\/em> Se minimizar\u00edan tanto los errores, como la liberaci\u00f3n de sustancias peligrosas o residuos contaminantes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ese debe ser el futuro de la energ\u00eda solar.
