El m\u00e1s cercano formado por una sola estrella.<\/p>\n<p>El sistema estelar m\u00e1s cercano a la Tierra de los descubiertos hasta la fecha <a href=\"https:\/\/hipertextual.com\/2012\/10\/alfa-centauri-planeta-con-un-masa-similar-a-la-tierra\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">es el de alfa centauri.<\/a> No obstante, este est\u00e1 compuesto por<strong> tres estrellas<\/strong>. El siguiente m\u00e1s cercano es <strong>Barnard<\/strong>, que s\u00ed que cuenta con una sola estrella, una enana roja con el mismo nombre que da lugar al sistema estelar. Hasta ahora solo se hab\u00eda encontrado un exoplaneta orbitando alrededor de Barnard. Sin embargo, los cient\u00edficos han seguido insistiendo hasta dar con otro.<\/p>\n<p>La insistencia se debe a que, a la hora de buscar exoplanetas, conviene m\u00e1s centrarse en los que est\u00e1n m\u00e1s cerca de nosotros. As\u00ed es m\u00e1s f\u00e1cil investigarlos o incluso colonizarlos si llegase el d\u00eda en un futuro lejano. Lamentablemente, este exoplaneta, Barnard b, no se encuentra en la <strong>zona habitable <\/strong>de su sistema. Este exoplaneta que gira en torno a \u00e9l est\u00e1 solo a 6 a\u00f1os luz de nosotros, muy cerca de su estrella. De hecho, est\u00e1 <strong>20 veces m\u00e1s cerca de su estrella que Mercurio del Sol<\/strong>. Si Mercurio ya es muy inhabitable, lo de este planeta es a\u00fan peor. Es cierto que su estrella es m\u00e1s fr\u00eda, pero, aun as\u00ed, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agenciasinc.es\/Noticias\/Descubren-un-exoplaneta-alrededor-de-la-estrella-individual-mas-cercana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">se calcula<\/a> que su superficie debe encontrarse a unos <strong>125 \u00baC<\/strong>. Para que un planeta se considere habitable debe encontrarse a una distancia de su estrella que permita que el agua pueda encontrarse en estado l\u00edquido. Con 125 \u00baC eso no es posible.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Este nuevo exoplaneta no est\u00e1 en un lugar habitable. \u00bfQu\u00e9 es entonces lo que lo hace tan especial? Sobre todo <strong>llama la atenci\u00f3n por su masa<\/strong>. No solo es muy peque\u00f1o, tambi\u00e9n es muy ligero. Su masa es aproximadamente la mitad de la de Venus, lo cual lo hace mucho m\u00e1s ligero que la Tierra. Venus ya es de por s\u00ed menos pesado que nuestro planeta. Es un temblor casi imperceptible, pues lo causa un objeto mucho m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o que la estrella. No obstante, cuando se logra detectar, es un indicador de que con alta probabilidad hay un exoplaneta cerca.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" ESO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Los datos de ESPRESSO se contrastaron con los de otros instrumentos especializados en la detecci\u00f3n de exoplanetas. Estos fueron el <strong>HARPS<\/strong>, tambi\u00e9n del Observatorio Europeo Austral, el <strong>HARPS-N <\/strong>del Observatorio de Roque de los Muchachos, en Canarias, y el <strong>CARMENES <\/strong>del Observatorio de Calar Alto, en Almer\u00eda. Todos coincidieron en lo mismo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, gracias a estos instrumentos se han encontrado otros tres candidatos a exoplanetas. No obstante, a\u00fan falta que ESPRESSO confirme los datos. Quiz\u00e1s pronto tengamos un sistema de <strong>5 planetas <\/strong>conocidos girando alrededor de Barnard.
