El fabricante quiere recuperar terreno y mantenerse a flote en un mercado dominado por TSMC, con una mejora importante. <strong>La clave de su pr\u00f3ximo chip ser\u00e1 una tecnolog\u00eda llamada <em>Turbo Cells<\/em><\/strong>, dise\u00f1ada para ofrecer velocidades superiores tanto en CPU como en GPU.<\/p>\n<p>En una <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intel.com\/content\/www\/us\/en\/foundry\/process.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">presentaci\u00f3n<\/a> llevada a cabo durante el evento Foundry Direct Connect, Intel deline\u00f3 su hoja de ruta y reafirm\u00f3 su intenci\u00f3n de <a href=\"https:\/\/hipertextual.com\/2024\/04\/tsmc-proceso-fabricacion-chips-a16-iphone-18\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">volver a competir con TSMC<\/a>. Aunque la empresa est\u00e1 centrada en el nodo 18A, que apenas entra en producci\u00f3n, anticip\u00f3 que su sucesor <strong>llevar\u00e1 el rendimiento al siguiente nivel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>El nodo de proceso 14A es <strong>la pr\u00f3xima generaci\u00f3n de tecnolog\u00eda de fabricaci\u00f3n de chips<\/strong> que la compa\u00f1\u00eda planea introducir alrededor del a\u00f1o 2027. Este nodo representa un avance respecto al actual 18A y est\u00e1 <strong>dise\u00f1ado para mejorar tanto el rendimiento como la eficiencia energ\u00e9tica<\/strong> de los procesadores. Una de sus principales caracter\u00edsticas es <em>Turbo Cells<\/em>, una tecnolog\u00eda que permite mezclar celdas de alto rendimiento y celdas de bajo consumo en el mismo dise\u00f1o, optimizando class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>De acuerdo con el fabricante, el 14A est\u00e1 pensado para ofrecer una plataforma escalable y flexible que permita <strong>dise\u00f1ar chips m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidos, eficientes y adaptados a las exigencias actuale<\/strong>s. Uno de los primeros procesadores en hacer uso de este nodo de proceso ser\u00e1 <strong>Nova Lake<\/strong>, programado para comenzar su producci\u00f3n en dos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de <em>Turbo Cells<\/em>, el proceso 14A incorporar\u00e1 <em>RibbonFET 2<\/em>, una evoluci\u00f3n de su arquitectura de transistores \u201cgate-all-around\u201d ya presente en 18A. Tambi\u00e9n se incluir\u00e1 <em>PowerDirect<\/em>, una red de entrega de energ\u00eda en la parte posterior del chip que mejora la eficiencia el\u00e9ctrica. Este salto t\u00e9cnico, junto con una integraci\u00f3n m\u00e1s densa de transistores, <strong>reforzar\u00e1 la capacidad de procesamiento sin aumentar el consumo energ\u00e9tico<\/strong>. Intel espera lanzar este proceso en 2027, acompa\u00f1ado de una variante denominada <em>14A-E<\/em>, de la que no se revelaron m\u00e1s detalles.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s de los avances en los nodos de proceso, Intel confirm\u00f3 su intenci\u00f3n de subirse de lleno al tren de la inteligencia artificial. De acuerdo con <em>PCMag<\/em>, el vicepresidente de servicios de fundici\u00f3n, Kevin O&#8217;Buckley, declar\u00f3 que <strong>Intel est\u00e1 enfocada en convertirse en una empresa de servicios de IA<\/strong>.
