En ellas podemos ver un peque\u00f1\u00edsimo aperitivo de lo que veremos con su proyecto <strong>Legado del Espacio y el Tiempo<\/strong>, en el que, tras 10 a\u00f1os de fotograf\u00edas, tendremos un mapa del cosmos much\u00edsimo <a href=\"https:\/\/hipertextual.com\/2025\/06\/mapa-del-universo-mas-completo-james-webb?utm_source=hiper.beehiiv.com&amp;utm_medium=newsletter&amp;utm_campaign=automatizacion-humanoide&amp;_bhlid=3b6d05a57b558173aa0ddf67ea4b05984a908afa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">m\u00e1s completo que el que han publicado este mes con im\u00e1genes del James Webb<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Y es que el Observatorio Vera Rubin est\u00e1 dotado con la <strong>c\u00e1mara digital m\u00e1s grande del mundo. <\/strong>Seg\u00fan ha celebrado en un comunicado uno de los principales responsables del proyecto, <strong>Brian Stone<\/strong>, con este y otros instrumentos del observatorio tendremos m\u00e1s informaci\u00f3n sobre el Universo que con todos los telescopio \u00f3pticos que han existido hasta ahora. Todos juntos.<\/p>\n<p>Este primer aperitivo se ha logrado con <strong>solo 10 horas de observaciones.<\/strong> As\u00ed, ya se han podido ver tanto millones de galaxias y estrellas de la V\u00eda L\u00e1ctea como miles de asteroides. Rubin <\/strong>(este es su nombre completo) es una instalaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica<strong> financiada por la Fundaci\u00f3n Nacional de Ciencias de Estados Unidos y la Oficina de Ciencia del Departamento de Energ\u00eda <\/strong>del mismo pa\u00eds. Se encuentra en la <strong>cima del cerro Pach\u00f3n<\/strong>, en Chile, y sus dos piezas fundamentales son el telescopio de 8,4 metros y la c\u00e1mara digital m\u00e1s grande del mundo.<\/p>\n<p>De momento, se han publicado dos im\u00e1genes que nos sirven como ejemplo de todo lo que podremos ver. <strong>Solo se han aplicado 10 horas de luz al telescopio<\/strong>, que ya ha usado su c\u00e1mara para captar im\u00e1genes diferentes a cualquier que se haya visto jam\u00e1s.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-aun-quedan-10-anos-por-delante\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Aun_quedan_10_anos_por_delante\"><\/span>A\u00fan quedan 10 a\u00f1os por delante<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Lo que hemos visto hoy es, al fin y al cabo, el resultado de unas pruebas previas a su primera misi\u00f3n, que <strong>comenzar\u00e1 a finales de 2025.<\/strong> Se llamar\u00e1 Legado del Espacio y el Tiempo y consistir\u00e1 en la toma de im\u00e1genes durante 10 a\u00f1os para mapear el Universo en movimiento de la forma m\u00e1s exhaustiva que se ha hecho nunca.<\/p>\n<p>Cada noche se tomar\u00e1n alrededor de 1.000 im\u00e1genes del cielo del hemisferio sur. As\u00ed, se podr\u00e1 cubrir todo el cielo visible del hemisferio sur <strong>en solo 3 o 4 noches.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Una vez tomadas esas im\u00e1genes, se crear\u00e1 con ellas un<strong><em> time lapse<\/em> ultra ancho y de ultra alta resoluci\u00f3n <\/strong>con el que se compondr\u00e1 un mapa en forma de pel\u00edcula. Rubin Observatory<br \/>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-se-espera-aprender-mas-sobre-la-escurridiza-materia-oscura\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Se_espera_aprender_mas_sobre_la_escurridiza_materia_oscura\"><\/span>Se espera aprender m\u00e1s sobre la escurridiza materia oscura<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Corr\u00eda la d\u00e9cada de 1960 cuando una astr\u00f3noma llamada <strong>Vera Rubin<\/strong> empez\u00f3 a tomar medidas del Universo con el objetivo de demostrar algo que <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.com.es\/ciencia\/historia-vera-rubin-astronoma-detras-descubrimiento-materia-oscura_20352\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ya hab\u00eda intuido en 1933 el suizo Fritz Zwicky<\/a>. Este astr\u00f3nomo descubri\u00f3 que un gran c\u00famulo de galaxias conocido como C\u00famulo del Coma no era suficiente para explicar c\u00f3mo podr\u00edan miles de galaxias a su alrededor mantenerse unidas por gravedad. Deb\u00eda haber algo m\u00e1s, \u00bfpero qu\u00e9?<\/p>\n<p>Vera Rubin sigui\u00f3 su estela y <strong>centr\u00f3 su investigaci\u00f3n en las galaxias espirales<\/strong>. Logr\u00f3 demostrar que estas giran lo suficientemente r\u00e1pido como para separarse <strong>si la gravedad de sus estrellas fuera todo lo que las mantuviera juntas<\/strong>. Pero, ya que los c\u00famulos de galaxias permanecen unidos, deb\u00eda existir algo m\u00e1s. Una gran cantidad de <strong>materia invisible <\/strong>facilitando su uni\u00f3n. Este fen\u00f3meno fue bautizado como el <strong>problema de rotaci\u00f3n de las galaxias<\/strong> y supuso la demostraci\u00f3n que faltaba para comenzar a hablar de esa misteriosa materia oscura y la energ\u00eda oscura asociada a ella. Hoy en d\u00eda seguimos sin saber gran cosa sobre ellas, pero se espera que el <strong>Observatorio Vera Rubin<\/strong> nos d\u00e9 muchas m\u00e1s pistas en esta pr\u00f3xima d\u00e9cada. Sin duda, no podr\u00eda haberse bautizado con un nombre mejor.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-las-primeras-imagenes-del-observatorio-vera-rubin\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\"
